Paris - mon amour!

Paris - mon amour!

I go to Paris like my home. I've lived there and I have 163 books on Paris. I guide the city I love on all my travels.

There are 3 themes:

  1. Paris - mon amour (in which you can see all the sights of Paris).
  2. Paris for returnees (in which case, for example, I will tell you about the secret patterns of the Knights Templar on the map of Paris).
  3. Relaxed mus-trip (where we go to free concerts and take time to listen to street musicians).

Dorddogne - fascinating destination in France

Dorddogne - fascinating destination in France

Three days around Toulouse, 3 days near the city of Souillac.

Truffles, walnut trees, dark red wine, plum liqueur, world-famous goat cheese, chocolate... and mountains, a river valley and the largest cave in Europe.

Natural wine trip to Slovenia

Natural wine trip to Slovenia

The world's first natural wine tour to Slovenia! Wine is the last food in which there is no need (at the insistence of the big wine houses) to have a list of nutrients.

It makes you think that your bottle of wine is just a grape, but that's not the case. Perhaps you would like to know how much added sulfite is in your wine? Or chemical yeast? The EU approves 63 substances that can be added to wine.

My partner in Slovenia assured me that they all have “original wines” (like Finnish, I think the silly name goes), but they weren't.

However, he found the president of the Slovenian Association for Natural Wine, which allows this November (2024) wine tour to places that look the same as what is described on the label (even that is not usual), and where the wine is made in a natural way without chemicals. I woke up to this in Padua, Italy.

The lunch restaurant had a big sign saying “Stop chemical wines!”. What do you mean chemical wines, I thought, and I started to find out. I love wine, and I want to know what's in my bottle.

In Slovenia, of course, we also get to know other cultural sites and beautiful landscapes, but the vineyards are really carefully selected.

We will also get acquainted with the difference between these and other wines and how wine is grown in Slovenia.

Paris

I've lived in Paris and I love Paris. That's why I have three different trips to choose from:
1) Paris - mon amour, where you will fall in love with the city
2) Paris for returnees, when you don't visit the most common places
3) A relaxed music trip, where you have time to stay and listen to Chopin by candlelight in the church, listen to street musicians and even dance on Sunday morning. Paris is good for groups of 8 to 20 people.

Dordogne River and Region

In due course I was asked to prepare a delicatessen trip to the area, from where Finnish delicacies such as foie gras, truffles, walnut liqueur, plum liqueur, cloudberry soft seasonal cheese, dark red wine are also brought to Finland. I've been doing these trips for years now. We always fly to Toulouse, the surroundings of which I am just creating a couple of day trips to connect with the Dordogne region. This is really a trip suitable for gourmets and other experiences include a mini cruise at a depth of 100 m (the roof is 90 m high), cities built on mountains and a museum of automatic toys (imagine Stokka windows with a power of 10). The best restaurant in the city of Souillac is located in our hotel, nam!

Niort - happy in it's hidden state

I didn't know Niort at all until my daughter moved there with her French husband. Now I have been studying the city for a few years and am ready to guide you in and around Niort. Here, for example, you need to know the life of Eleonor Aquitaine from the 12th century, the canal-digging skills of the monks, the fine restaurants, the hotel with 5-star service in a 2-star hotel (they don't have a lift) and how to get to the magnificent Green Venice while in France. Read my blogs about Niort!
